New Bike

Heya TWF!!!

Im new here, not new to bikes, had a gixer600, gixer750 and then got married had to sell off sport bike (wife wanted me around, not dead) and bought a Honda Shadow 750 hated it!!! Im not cut out for a crusier, just not me I guess. Had an offer the other day from a guy that he wanted a cruiser and he had a yellow banana asked me if I wanted to swap key for key! Well he let me ride the banana well lets just saw got me all back into riding sport bikes!!!! So now I have to tell him deal or no deal Specs

01 Honda Shadow 750 4800 miles
SLOW, lots of chrome, SLOW, no wheelies, nice bike for my GRANDPA!

00 SUZUKI TL1000 20k miles
FAST, polished wheels, half frame polished, Dual Yoshi cans, he says engine has been reworked about 5,000 miles on it now

So tell me what you think I should do.. I know it is my decision but some help would be appreciated!!

See ya round
Billy

Your wife may not like the new bike, but you certainly will. Do the trade.

First off

Yeah but you are the one that rides and its not the bike that will kill you.. it will be you twisting the throttle.

The NADA price on the Shadow is $2,600 - $3,400.

The NADA price on the TLR is $3,600 - $4,700.

Now granted the TLR has alot more miles but it also has more appeal to what you want. And if the motor was done at 15k...then that shouldn't worry you. The 1/4 polished frame is... so so...cause as I said its not done all the way. But the polished edge of the rims looks GREAT!

I'd do the trade in a heart beat!

Done Deal

Well I did it and thanks to all of you for helping me make my mind up... LOVE IT!!!! Cant stay off of it. Next question for you all here we go again!!!! Should I leave it as is? Or do I decorate it with the Suzuki and TL stickers? I think it is awesome the way it is but also thinking it lacks something, let me know if you have any ideas, as I have a blank yellow canvas. I love yellow if you look at my myspace, you will see all of my other bikes have been yellow!!! Something about that SUZUKI yellow that does it for me!!!

Anyways let me know what to do with the canvas, maybe if I had some TWF stikers, hummmmmmmm............. To be Continued

Check out my myspace pics!!!

suzuki stickers would be too obvious. go with something a bit more customized.
