tre vs powercomander

Hi everyone I was wondering if anyone had herd of this product or not and if so what the though of it. I'll post a link if someone can tell me how. Anyway it's called a TRE timeing retard eliminator. I guess all the 06 Gixers are retarded a bit in the first four gears and this thing gets rid of that giveing you more hp and torq. I was thinking about geting a power comander but this is cheaper like $110.00 I think. What i don't know is which would be better or if I could run both at once. Thanks. BTW got an 06 Gixer blue and white a month ago and It's kick ass!! My first sportbike. Well kind of I lerned on a Ninja 250. Great bike also.

A power commander won't do what a TRE mod will do. Do both...

They are 2 complete different mods. However, the TRE will "un-lock" some hidden power without any adverse affects. Do the TRE and once you get bored with your bike... look into a full system exhaust and a power commander.

to TWF and do the TRE first. You wont need to PCIII till after you upgrade the exhaust. Mostly a full system.

, do the TRE first, but look on gixxer.com, you can get it cheaper... theres even a write up on how to make your own from radio shack stuff somewhere on there. then when you have a filter and exhaust look into the powercommander.

Interesting. A TRE switch will not increas you h.p. or torque. What the switch does is its changing of how your computer thinks. It will think its in 5th gear at all time. By you doing this you will bypass your revlimiter and give you more off line push and quiker trottle response. I bought mine on www.gsxrzone.com

Go to www.fuelmotousa.com I just purchased one today for about 35.00 and I guess we will see how good it is. I will let you all know when I get it. How hard do you think it will be to install this?

yeah go with the TRE first...after you start upgrading exhaust, and other air/fuel performance then you will need to go with the Power Commander.

It's easy. You just disconnect your pulg going into the computer nad bypass it with the TRE. It's a plug in that goes into your existing wires. Truly easy. The instrucions will tell you what color wires to look for then disconect them and pulg in your TRE. That simple.

word of advice....dont get the cheap one. There is a difference. The 30 dollar one will give you a hars time in starting the bike becase it thinks its in 5th all the time. There is one for 90 dollars which enables you to start the bike up easier.

most the cheaper ones have to be spliced into the wiring. I prefer the plug and play.

You should install both. The TRE first if you're low on funds.

Well I got my TRE from FUELMOTO today and it is plug and play type for 30.00 I want to install it but I don't want to loose the gear indicator. Are the gains worth the loss of that. Also the instructions were kinda vague andybody know where the cables are?

On the instuctions they should tall you to look at some colored wires with a green sttipe on it. Look for these wires and unplug them and just plug in your TRE. Be careful on your first ride your throttle will become very touchy. Take some time to get use to the upgrade.
