so bikes must be produced with a fender, but the DOT doesn't care if you remove it as soon as you roll it off the lot. that doesnt make much sense to me... :idk:
Just like all the non DOT approved exhaust 90% of us run
The manufacturers have specific guidelines they must meet when producing vehicles to the general public. You'd be surprised at the diff in public vehicles and military ones
The bike looks sick but the GP style exhaust has got to go.... Why are all these companys switching to the ugly GP exhaust... they had it right with the under tail i have no idea why they would abandon that idea.
They could stick with the undertail and put the cats under the engine. The chin spoiler/lower fairing would hide that- doesn't have to be very big. The actual cat in my exhaust is small- maybe 1-1/2" diameter and 3" long.
If its a COG thing and for better handling to have these fugly GP style cans on the newer bikes than whey do the exotic bikes which are superior at the track like Ducati MV Agusta (spelling) and aprillia stick with an under tail style exhaust.... obviously there is a reason why they do not convert.... I really dont think that it really alters the COG in a noticable way plus I would think it would hinder leaning angle because you have a bulky exhaust pipe right off to the right side where you could drag it while cornering.
The low mount exhaust was one of the big selling points to me on the style portion of my bike. I always thought the old style never looked right. Having a huge muffler off the side of the bike looks bulky to me. GP style and undertails cleaned up the looks a lot
and what are you going to do with that big open hole where the cat is after your put full exhaust on it, there’s going to be a huge hole and totally mess up the flow of the bike.
that fender/tag bracket looks as tho its a turd hangin out its @ss tho...
At least thats a easy fix
