Vids of friends riding (Repsol, Busa, R1)

I'm fairly new to riding and with a bad clutch I'm unable to pop wheelies or good ones atleast. However my buddy with a Yamaha R1 can and does all the time. So we decided to do some videos of him. Plus one vid with a Repsol doing wheelies and an R1 vs Hyabusa race where the Busa buried it's speedometer.

Repsol and R1 wheelie vids with Busa vs R1 in the end
R1 Tank Wheelies
Wheelie vid of R1 at 120mph
I think we'll get more videos today and plan to do many more. Plus the guy on the R1 is getting a CBR600F3 that he plans to turn into a stunting bike.

Wheelies and street racing do not belong on public roads.

In fantasy land that would be nice. The truth is there is no track for us to go to and everytime we tried to do stuff at non-public roads (Such as abandoned wharehouse or open parking lot) the police show up.

All in all if that is the mentallity then why have bikes capable of doing 200mph. Infact why have a bike capable of doing 100mph. Maybe we should ban all bikes and only allow 1cylinder motorcycles with a max of 40hp that way rapid acceleration can't be accomplished nor a speed of over 80mph (10mph over the fastest speed LIMIT in the country). Plus we can removed all tires that have the capability of leaning more than 30degrees so we can prevent people from taking fast turns.

Trust me. We'd love to find a track or an abondoned airport where we can run up and down all day. However that will never happen because if someone does get hurt the owner of the facility will be sued and they will loose.

...you live in atlanta, theres tons of tracks in that area. do a little on the net to find some and invest in a track day. You will gain much riding experience that would take you much longer to learn on the road. Plus since you like high speeds it will be a huge thrill for you.

at 120 with no gear there wont be much of a person to sue anyone No one is jumpin you, most if not all of us has learned the hard way why what you n many show in vids is overly dangerous. Yes there are sum skilled riders that can ride like no tomorrow, but on 2 wheel not to mention 1 wheel all it takes is hit one pebble to throw that bike off balance n its rider flying, multiply that by the speed. And they are sum places in ATL where the stunters gather I seen em on superbikes on Speed the other night

Any how be safe n tell ya friends to get sum gear to do that **** at least lol

Atlanta has a ton of tracks in the area that offer track days. That's complete BS.

It's not the public roads that bother me... It's the presence of traffic.

Look, I do wheelies... I am terrible at them, but I can get them up and ride them out a little. I just don't do it when there are other vehicles around (less the occassional screwing around pop up 1', immediately drop it). I damn sure wouldn't be trying that chit with shorts and a t-shirt on. That's just asking for it.

I should have been more clear. When I said public roads I ment traffic. Doing them on a a back road way out in no where is one thing. But in that vid doing a wheelie at on coming traffic is just wrong plain and simple. If you loose that bike it could very well go through the windshield of that on coming car. And and theres that little chance of you getting run over after you go down. But my main concern is the safety of others you jeapardize by doing those stunts around them.

The owner of the facility only gets sued if some dumbass stunts on their property, hurts themselves, then decides that they shouldn't be held accountable for their own actions. Are you that type of person?

Haha. Nah I'm not a stunter or a hard rider. I just cruise around more than anything. My friends are the stunt junkies.

We use to have an area we gathered at (The video on the long road at dusk) and ride around because it was rarely used. But cops started coming and telling us if they caught us there again they'd take us all to jail.

In my town we use to be able to race cars, bikes, etc and the cops would stand there and watch. They just didn't care. But parents started to complain and that shut us down.

As for tracks in Atlanta. I know we have Road Atlanta which is about an hour away and you can't goof around on the track. Atlanta Dragway which I doubt they are going to let you do tank wheelies down the straight away. Winder speedway is a dirt track which has more fist fights than racing. Lanier is for legends and race cars. Atlanta Motor Speedway has 1/8 drag races but again no goofing around. Peachstate speedway is again for cars. And I believe the next closest road course is somewhere in South Georgia and in Birmingham Alambama.

And I believe the one track that would let you goof around on the premise was Eatonton which I think got shut down because of that.

But if there is an area in the eastern metro Atlanta where my buddies and I can ride hard I'd be more than happy to know about it. And I wouldn't mind Road Atlanta but I'm not a great rider because I'm new and it would be dangerous for me and others to share a track with 100 R1s, Busas, Ducatis, and CBRs blowing by me in turns at 100+mph when I'm only comfortable doing 60.

The main reason though we are on that road is it is nearbye us and it's notorious for bikes and cars racing on it. Basically the cops have really left it alone becuase they can't catch the bikes or cars on it.

There are beginner sections for newer riders and first time riders at the track. However 60 mph may be just a bit slow get a little more comfortable with speed.

I cant believe the foot peg broke off on that R1 in mid wheelie... now thats quality.... From what I hear thats a quality issue that Yamaha has to work on with the R1's (with the rear sets breaking)

Here are some pictures. What I find odd is at the top of the bolt you see Locktight where there shouldn't be locktight. THere are no threads in that location. I'm wondering if it has broke off before nad possibly pulled some threads out.
