Raw Onboard Video, Pahrump, Dec 2nd

I've been playing camera bike for everyone else so much recently, I finally got a chance to get filmed this past weekend. The camera is on Ed's bike (wera expert), following David and myself (both wera novices). We were working on a lot of stuff during this run. We were passing back and forth to explore lines and braking points, etc. It was my first weekend on Dunlop rubber, so I was trying to get a feel for them as well, adjust suspension, etc. Toward the end, Ed checks out, so you can see how slow I really am.

This video is not cut or anything, it's raw. It's mainly for educational purposes (namely my own).

Pretty cool man. Didn't get to watch the whole thing cus I'm at work, will watch it when I get home. I love Spring Mountain. Fun, smooth track.

Thanks for sharing!

Chit man, that video was awesome. Looking pretty good out there

And you're right... the last 5 minutes, after he passes you, Ed is REALLY wringing the chit out of that R6. Awesome.

We're working on that... building up more of a scooter army though. I busted the front brake caliper off the pit bike, and I can't find a replacement mount, so I might have to buy whole new forks. Goody.

Too bad you are on the other side of the country, we have regular pit bike races at the gap in the store parking lot. It's a blast. If I ever tear mine up, I will buy another cause they are so much fun to fock around on.

Based on the look/sound of the video, it looks like he's just doing those under power, and not with the clutch. He must have some mods or diff sprocket setup, because that bike is made to not power wheelie in stock form...

Yeah, he's proly geared. You won't even see 5th gear, with stock gearing, on any on of the two tracks in Vegas. I plan on gearing mine when I get back, but not sure what gearing I want to do. I'm waiting on Ed to answer me back about what his gearing is. But I've seen him in person at LVMS and he is fu*kin blazing fast.

I'll probably gear mine as well as do a 520 conversion.... at track days I got into 4th on the straight but that's it... although on the highway at 80 I'm at 8-9k.... gearing down might make some of my trips ring a little high when I'm street riding.

speedohealers just fix your speedometer error that is already present on your bike or caused by changing gearing

When my wife gets her bike, I'll be back on the street again so I'm gonna keep the stock gearing on and change the sprockets for a track day.

I see. I didn't know. You could do like me and have your speed sensor go out so you log 0 miles...

Probably a good idea. Ideally, I'd like to have a second set of wheels with track tires and a couple teeth up. Then I just just keep the stock front sprocket and the switch would be easy...

that sucks.... should do wonders for your resale value though! Just fix it right before you sell it.
