New member, old bike, looking to NOS!

Hey, twf, I'm a V4 Honda guy. I would love to add a small shot of nitrous to my Magna. Somethin' discreet, small bottle, gentle to the old engine, and about a 20hp shot.

I've been internet searching and have found a lot of systems for cars. I've seen systems on Bourgets with a tiny bottle mounted to the tank.

It's an old 4 carb system that is extremely sensitive to adjustments. A quarter turn on the pilots will make a nasty decel popping and run lean.

What do you think?

ANd I like the V65 Magna. My First streetbike in 87 was a 85 V65 Magna, That thing was awesome. I miss that bike.

the NOS 'sneaky pete' is what youre thinking of.

Quote:
The Sneeky Pete was designed as a true "Cheater Kit." This kit will enable you to obtain that extra tenth of a second without being obvious. It will be necessary to jet the carburetors a little richer (over and above what is normal, since you will have to compensate for the nitrous from the Sneeky Pete) while being "sneeky" since no additional fuel source is utilized. The kit comes complete with a compact, easy to conceal 10oz. bottle, nitrous solenoid, nylon nitrous line, wiring, 9v battery holder and an assortment of jets. Carry it in a briefcase!
Totally portable system installs in minutes. Uses two 9volt batteries for power. The ultimate trick!

Your V65 has something that all the new 600's wish they had: tons of low and mid-range torque. Forget about NOS and horsepower. If it was mine, I would clean the carbs and possibly get a Factory Pro jet kit if I lived near sealevel. That V65 can beat any cruiser in a street race, and many sportbikes. Be happy with that.

Carbs are clean and jetted, K&N, Kerker, lowered, Progressives, blah, blah.

I'm used to the blast of torque, but just want a little more blast in the upper gears. You know, everyone needs a little more.

The Sneaky Pete is the thing I'm looking for. Stealth V Max torturer Thanks for the info.

I saw that mod on a TV show. It was an older guy and, let's say, he hasn't used it to it's full potential. He trailers to shows. Real fine fabrication work and looked un-fabbed, if you know what I mean. The giveaway was the chromed Dodge valve cover.

Here are a few other brands to throw at ya.
Dyno Tune (One I'm Getting)
MPS
Sneeky Pete ( Alot of people use this one)
ZEX
Pingel

Being you are running a carb. you will want a wet kit I believe. The dry kits are mainly for fuel injection.

Good Luck,
