Smoked headlight covers

I like them, I want them, but I can't find someone in the US that sells them. I keep searching and the same british web sites keep popping up. Lame! Anybody know where I should be looking?

Some things you have to buy through Canada or UK. They just arn't available here in the states. I know BMW helmets are like that also. You may have to buy UK and have it shipped here if you really want it.

I've never looked for'em. Try e-bay too. I have used the colored screen prints. Sort of like'em.

The only thing to remember about Euro orders is that the exchange rate is almost exactly double. ie.. if it sells for $10 Euro. It will convert to close to $20 US.

Ebay and Lockhartphillips but I will plea with you on it..

Did you ever think there is a reason why it's being hard to find. You know the sayin... "if it isn't meant to be..."

If you want somin over your headlights... try the headlight covers that are stickers. They usually have designs on them and aren't smoked. They are just a bunch of small dots. Similar to those images you see that cover the back windows of trucks. The ones for the headlights usually look like eyes or somin... and they don't cut out the light brightness like the smoked covers you are talkin...

I know what your sayin. There is a safty issue there. The ones I was lookin at overseas are made to be a quick on and off type a deal so you can choose to go stealth during the day or whatever and take em off for night riding.

it would only look good parked unless you alter your headlight switch/connection so you can shut them off while riding. or else you'll be able to see the headlight through it. not totally stealth, but the headlight won't be too effective.

Exactly. I think DLIT might be puttin up a little bit of a fight here cause his bike is pretty stealth but I think we can all agree that he takes his riding very seriously and he's very safe out on the road. I'm all for what he said. If the bike is sitting parked and i'm at a big event down in detroit lakes or what not just cruisin the beach which ends up being like 5-10 miles an hours I say go for it. Just don't be dumb about it. I already assume people in vehicles don't know that i'm there.

I guess I'm with gas man on this too. City riding, rural riding, whatever, you always want people to see you coming. That's why I ride around with my brights on during the day.

Have you looked into headlight mesh? When the lights are off it looks cool, and the beams will come through better than a plastic peice. Plus they come in more colors. I know for a fact the headlight beams shine through good because my buddy was behind me once and he had his high beams on. they worked like normal.

I never smoked a headlight cover however I have sucked on a tailpipe once..

p.s. actually have you thought of looking into spray on tint ... they make it for auto taillights and headlights.. it is more permanant then a cover but it is an option..

Ya, I have looked at pretty much everything but spray on tint sounds like a bad idea being that its not a quick on or off type a deal and that whole annoying safety thing. I just can't shake that not wanting to die feeling. I'll probably go with removable covers or the mesh that DLIT was talking about.

i am just a wealth of information. but seriously, i am a total mouse potato. nothing turns me on more than trolling bike websites for the coolest mods.

it was also a bit of divine intervention. i just got the competition accessories catalog today in the mail and lo and behold there they were on the last page.
