I'd like to see a picture of your project. Did you use a VFR swingarm?

Yep, he did.....a VFR750 swingarm. I have a '95 VFR750 SSA to go on my 95 900RR (just waiting for some parts to come back from the powdercoaters, so it should be assembled and on the bike by next weekend). You can use the 5spoke VFR800 rear wheel as it is 5.5" wide. This way, you can use a 180 rear tire.

Leon (wingnut) was real helpful in providing info on his conversion for the rest of us at www.rrzone.com

He'll more than likely post more info about it here too. I'll also take pics of my project as it comes together.

Cheers,
Sime

Sime's bike is awesome. Here's his old FS thread

You can see his extensive amount of mods! I have seen it in person and it looks better in person.

Hi Leon.....good to see you here too! Chris...thanks again mate, as for the compliments from the others! Yep, I did end up taking the bike with me to Australia in a 20ft container (along with my other personal effects). I'm happy that I didn't sell it....it's a rather unique machine.

As you pointed out Chris, those pics are quite old. The tail section is g-o-n-e. As you might have gathered from another thread on TWF, I am putting on a 2004 Gixxer 1K tail section with a Hot Bodies undertail. Also, I have a VFR750 single sided swingarm to fit.

Little front wheel? Ha! Fat chance! The pics show a 17" F3 front wheel, but that is long gone too. The bike now has 2002 CBR954 upside down forks fitted with a 6 spoke RC51 'SP1' 17" front wheel, and a BST carbon fiber front fender. Also, I have another special (new) addition to the bike that I am going to keep secret (for now).

I have some parts at the powdercoater and when I get them back, I can put the bike back together. I'll post pics (including pics of the secret addition) when I am done - within 2 weeks.

Cheers!
Simon

Well, that's why it's a secret...but all will be revealed shortly! As soon as my powdercoater finishes my parts, the bike can go back together and I can take pics to show you all what I am doing.

Cheers,
Sime
