Brembo race master cylinders

I removed my stock Brembo street brake and clutch master cylinders and installed a pair of Brembo billet race cylinders and levers. Its amazing how much this increases braking power. The bike drops speed very fast. The street stuff was good, but nothing like this. Now I need to remove the Brambo street calipers and install the race calipers to match. They won't be available for my bike until next year. Aprilias and Ducatis use 100mm spacing instead of the 108mm that Japanese bikes use. Oh well.

Anyway, here are some pics of the new setup. They were taken in my garage and aren't the best. They were somewhat expensive, but I love the look, feel, and stopping power they have. Brembo uses red lettering for all their race stuff.

I got them from Yoyodyne. He has tons of wild stuff.

I paid slightly less since I have bought a good deal of stuff in the past.
19x20 brake and 16x18 clutch.

Here is one of the stock Brembo street cylinders that came with my bike for comparison.

Finally, check out the top of the line Brembo brake master cylinder used in Moto GP. Ouch! It looks basically the same as mine with far different internals and break way levers. At that price, it can stay in Moto GP!

Thanks. I'll post some full pics when I'm done. I'm still waiting for my Akropovic slip-ons. ApriliaUSA didn't have them in stock. They're being shipped from Italy. Anyway, they are the last mod I'm doing this year.

I thought it was interesting that WERA banned the use of those Brembo MC's and DQ'd some winners that were using them before the ban. I guess they make a huge difference over stock jap MC's. That said, I think it's a great mod!

Well, I have been slowly adding more and more ti bolts and nuts. I wouldn't call that a mod, I just love the look of them. They save some weight too.

Next year, I plan to upgrade the calipers to race or high power spec as I mentioned before. After that, there really isn't much more I can do to it or I want to do to it at least.

They do have some huge stopping power. I could easily flip the bike over with one or two fingers. I can't imagine adding the high power or even race calipers!

I just replaced my stock ones with the full floating Brake Tech rotors. I'll stop there.

I may do the AF1 air box mod. Next season though.
