Yeah if they're going to build a drag bike, tell them the answer to their question.

If they're going to build a stretched chrome crapmobile, tell them to go kill themselves

Thats a little harsh! Do you like show trucks or show cars? For example lifted/lowered vehicles or rims? Not a personal thing but alot of people forget to realize is that lowered chrome "crapmobile's" might be what they like and many other people. I wouldn't stretch my bike but I think they look good but at the same time I like radical things.

Right me too! I wish my silverado was a Z71 but I was too poor for the 4X4
But my point is that when you lift or lower a vehicle you alter the towing and payload capabilities and usually for the worse. Or the handling is drastically reduced but people do it everyday for the heck of it. It is what makes me different from everyone one else. I love bagged mini's, lifted monster trucks, muscle cars, even tuners. Show and go bikes, stunt bikes, race bikes " ama and street" even parking lot bikes. I mean a bike is a bike no matter what direction you take it. And I am with Playfulgod on the don't stretch a bike out and think you are going to outrun someone in a twisty.

Since the guys question was answered I guess we can follow the thread jack.

I HATE show cars/bike/trucks. When you bling something out to the point that it's unusable or none of the performance mods are functional as they are on many show vehicles...as ceo said you should kill yourself.
It's not art. You're not furthering the possibilities of vehicle design, you're not pushing the limits, you're just a retard with too much money. Ride that bitch or push it into a lake.

I went to the Hot Import Nights show up in Indy a couple years back and there were two bikes in the whole show. One new busa had THREE turbo's in the front of the engine with part of the fairing cut off to expose them. At least a 3 foot long swingarm. Chrome. Loud, gaudy paint. Speakers in the bodywork.
I went around to the back of the booth and could clearly see the turbo's weren't hooked up, they had removed the headers and mounted the turbos to the frame. Everyone was giving the build team mad props, I said loudly that it was super gay. Truello the 4 foot tall dominican bike builder was none too pleased.

Function > Form

ohhh one of those useless things Yea I know many that have those or rather their attempt at one, their always broke down for some reason Seen some that look nice but not my cup of tea. If I was to lower a truck it would just be enough to close up the gap in the fender well, not slamed into the weeds I dont car e for the new wheel sizes either. Guess I'm sorta old school for my generation anyhow

Well i owned a 2002 z71 with a 9" lift and 37" swampers and that pulled a boat no problem and it was all blinged out... And my buddy has owned a bagged s10 and still put is motorcylce in the back.. If you do anything right it will look good and still have a function for daily use... I also have a cuz with a 14" lifted Silverado that pulls his brand new Mastercraft .. do it right and it will be just fine.. i think it goes for cars and trucks as well as bikes..

This is a two part question you've asked.

I hate show cars. Wastes of money, wastes of vehicles. See pizdets' post for why.

I do often like lowered vehicles (cars only) with rims when they are lowered subtlely and have put on slightly larger and wider (and usually lighter) rims (like a nice set of BBS forged wheels). That is because it increases their handling ability and has made them into a more performance oriented machine. When some civic is slammed to the ground on airbags with 20" chrome wheels, then no. That makes me want to punch babies.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

What I REALLY like is when something has form and function melded together. I.e. something that is 100% performance oriented, and manages to look at the same time. THAT is vehicular art. Not this show car chit, especially since they usually start with something that is meant for performance at least somewhat, and have DECREASED its performance by bastardizing it with goodies and wastes of money. Triple turbo (not hooked up) super stretched chromed out sportbikes are perfect examples.

That is an excellent point. You get these half asses out here a rig something up or too cheap to do it right and all the sudden its junk. Most of the people on here has never drug a knee or rode a stretched bike but will cuss an extended swingarm in a second with only hearsay! My old katana 600 had a 4" stretch on it and I had no problems riding it. Personally it didn't feel any different than my friends katana 600. I am no racer so maybe thats why I couldn't tell.

Yea I hate trailer queens. Give me a billion bucks n I wont be able to leave the house til affter noon. Why?? Will take me that long to decide which bike/car/truck to take So what I am saying is If I own I will drive it, and if I showed it it would run as good as it looked or it would stay in the shop til it did

What I meant by show car was someone in there garage not in sema. A daily driver that attends car shows. Lifted trucks with 37" swampers will kill gas mileage lower 0-60, lower top end speeds. More wear on the motor and tranny just to turn those heavy wheels. And unless done right it will ride like chit. I mean speakers and 3 turbos is stupid but a clean chromed painted bike is nice.
