First 3 Mods?

I'm pretty new to sport bikes .. I have lots of friends with them but I'm slacking on getting my own .. I have been reading a lot about aftermarket parts, and I think for the first 3 mods I would like to do consist of a Steering Damper , Exhaust , and Stainless Brake lines.. what are your thoughts on this ??? I think after talking to people on here its going to be a CBR F4, F4I or ZZR for the bike..

On those bikes (and being a newbie) you're really not going to NEED or even notice a difference with the steering damper, nor do you need the stainless brake lines.

Exhaust? Yeah, you'll get a small horsepower gain (which again, a newbie on the streets probably won't really notice), but ESPECIALLY on the ZZR, it'll make a huge difference in appearance (HUGE), as well as sound.

If you can find one, get a cowl for the rear seat (this, too, will clean up the overall look of the bike a LOT), get some good flushmount turn signals, and if you're buying new, get ride of the "whale tail" and get an aftermarket tag bracket and turn signals.

And depending on the color of the bike, a dark smoke/tinted windscreen helps the looks of many bikes.

Good luck, and enjoy!

You might want to also think about HH Sinterted brake pads and Michelin Pilot Powers

Depends if you are talking about performance or appearance.

For appearance, fender eliminator, front flush mount signals, rear seat cowl is what I did.

For performance, stainless brake lines, HH sintered pads, and michelin pilot powers are going to be my next three mods. I currently have woodcraft clipons and pazzo shorty levers (I would recommend both), but those occurred before the other three due to a stupid driveway tip over

And before any of that you should GET ALL YOUR GEAR!!!!

if you get a ZZR it MUST be an 05 or later. the earlier ones were fat pigs and pieces of crap. the F3 is WAY better than a ZZR until you get to the 2005 version with the 2002 ZX-6r motor and much better styling.
