07 GSXR 1k exhaust = hotness!!

have y'all seen this exhaust for the 07 gixxer 1000? it's by TaylorMade. i love the way it blends with the bike. hard to believe i am actually over a gixxer.

the complete kit will cost ya $795, the can alone is $559.

Thats the same design on the 600/750. I love it. I wonder if it removes the flapper valve and if it does, does that kill your low end power due to the reduced back pressure?

Yeah Mondo had one on his GSXR600. So yeah its not a new idea, but it is new for the 1K.

100 %

I know the GSXR 1000 has all the performance of my R1 and maybe then some...I know it's an awesome machine BUT one reason I went with the R1...it just looks soooo much better imho.

This is a vast improvement for the gixxer.

Pretty much all aftermarket exhausts remove the flappers on any bike that has one, they're too lazy to engineer the exhaust to keep it there... and yes it will affect low end power. That's why I won't buy a slipon, they decrease performance.

A full system will happen some day, or at the very least a nice mid y-pipe that will remove the whole stock muffling/catalyst box and then attach a slipon to it.

Almost opted for that exhaust but got the yoshi instead. The slip on didn't decrease any performance whatsoever.
