When we ride out of town i like to see for myself where the nearest shops, restaurants etc are at, i hate to ask for directions or have to look at a map.

I got pretty low on gas on the track. That was scary. I didn't take into account that I had improved enough that I was keeping it near redline the whole day... my gas mileage dropped from 40-45 mpg to about 15mpg

Fluck that... In my experience... at least in Ohio... is that you are never too far away from a gas station... and restruants are easy enough to find...

My GPS is... when I head out I go East and South... Then when I want to get back home... I go North and West... Eventually I find a road with a name a recognize.

Oh... and for the record... I'd love to have a GPS... Just can't justify the cost...

as long as you know what direction you have to go your fine... its not how you get there as much as the journey getting there!

I've seriously looked into gps... it'd be nice to keep track of routes on my computer at home, and be able to find gas stations when your out cruz'n the unknown.

I have an excellent sense of direction though... and can always find my way eventually. I LOVE getting lost... but my bike doesn't have the greatest range (and no gas gauge or light)

I think I'd use it in my truck allot though.... track'n trails and make'n sure I didn't get lost in the AK wilderness... but I've only got 3 months left here so the point is moot anyways

This is my favorite!!

I'm not trying to be a smart-ass........really!

I just get more satisfaction with reading a map and navigating my way to my destination.

My 2 cents

Why is that? Simply because im interested in adding a GPS on my bike. GPS is your friend, when it is smartly used.
