What is a fender eliminator kit exactly?

can someone point me to the place that explains with visuals a fendor eliminator...cuz i think i understand it but it seems to simple to be exactly what im thinking...i look at pictures of a stock 07 honda cbrRR600 and a site that shows their kit after its done...i dont really see any difference..just curious cuz im looking for one for my ninja250 that ill be gettin when they come out..if it seems worth it..plus can u recommend anything for a undertail pipe for the 250? since i dont like the side version

a fender eliminator is just that. its a piece of metal or plastic that fills the hole where the fender use to be after you trim it off. A custom/aftermarket undertail which is usually made from abs or fiberglass gives the tail a nice finished look. Google undertail and fender eliminator and you should find tons of links and photos. I will post some as I run across them tho

back in the day, it was a hacksaw and zip ties...

i say save your money for when you move up. buy some gear or another lid instead but you can do a cheap fix urself

so basically it gets rid of that black thing hanging off the back end and lets you keep ur license plater on the back...so in other words u cud integrate the turn signals and stop light into the back tail and have the license plate back there without that bulky black thing....thats what i was thinking but i wasnt sure..


on another note...any suggestions on an undertail pipe for that new ninja coming out?

they usually dont make aftermarket pipes for bikes that aren't out yet.... once they are actually on the roads... there will be options...

More $$$ than it'd be worth IMHO... You'd have to have it totally custom... custom pipe bending, custom mount under the tail, custom heat barrier, etc... and... it'll prolly look like ass too... every custom undertail I've seen has.

I used a swiss army knife for mine and a drill.. Looks damn good to me and I saved a few bucks..

yea its a real question since im a NOOB....i dont know **** about a bike...especially what is considered a fender...cuz to me the fender would be like the tail of the bike or something...jeez...grill me why dont you

tks for the advice on the tailpipe by the way...i think ill just deal with it being on teh side...go for the cbr after i get used to and good on the ninja

The search button is your friend... Try not to let the TWF machine overwhelm you... There is SOOOOOO much info out there it can get out of hand...
