how much to have frame anodized black

If I get an 03/04 ZX 6r i'm wondering how much it will cost me to have the frame anodized black assuming I do all the removal of the parts.

I would hope he means powdercoating.

And the problem is, that you need to strip everything off it as far as parts. Then to do it CORRECTLY you need to get the frame acid dipped.

I know a place here that you can get the frame dipped for about $45, then powder will run ya about $200.

are the new 07 frames painted or what. They look like they have been annodized not painted or powdercoated but it could just be a thin satin black. I just don't like the polished frame on the older 636's its winter time so when the rain hits i'll have a chance to strip it down.

Don't anodize it. Powder coat, maybe. Like GM said though, lots of work.

Anodizing is cool....saw a Duc with the frame anodized green, and the swingarm and bits anodized red and the bodywork done in pearl white with green and red accents....very cool. Powdercoating is ok, but well done anodizing is classy looking.

Some folks just have more money than good sense.
