LED Flush Mount Questions

My Fiance got me some Hot bodies flushies.... and it says that they flash at a high rate of speed to increase visabillity which sounds like . So what size resistor do I need to make them blink normal and where do i install it.

I think it's just inline... just before the signal would be fine I think...

and I agree the high rate of blinking doesn't help anything

hook em p first n see if you like/dislike the flash rate. When I installed mine they didnt speed up to awlful much more than with the stockers.

got this off the cbrforum:
Quote:
if the signals now flash too fast for your taste go to radio shack and get two 20w by 8 ohm resistors and jump the green ground wire to the turn signal wire (solid color)
this will slow down the blink rate
also are the three wire or two wire flushies? 3 wire would mean you still would have running lights. 2 wire you would loose running light and just have turn signals.

Hotbodies anything = junk.

Leave the fast flash, it's not bad for the bike at all, and more attention grabbing.

Won't get any worse, will pass inspection.

The fast rate is just the bike's way of telling you it thinks you have a bulb out. Since the LEDs barely present any load, the bike thinks your lights are out, so it blinks them doublefast to let you know in your dashboard indicator. However, it's not bad for the bike, and I personally like it. Adds to your visibility, and increases the chance that if someone glances in your direction and then glances away they will still see one of the flashes.

My rears flash fast. My front flushies don't, since they are proton flushies which have built in compensation that works no matter what you do to them.

Its not halfassed if ya leave em fast, just person preference, hence why I suggest hook em up n see if you like it or not.

LIke PG said its all personal preference... on my 9R I left them as fast cause it gave me more blinks per second so that cage knew where I was going.

If you change all four out there may not be enough resistance for them to flash at all, they will just come on and stay on.
