Best Vinyl?

I am going to change the color of the stripes on my bike by just adding new vinyl on top of the old stickers. The only kind my local shop sells is this...
http://www.factoryeffex.com/store/Pr...ductid=03-0243
But I was wondering if anyone had any other brand that they liked more. Or any that you have had a bad experience with.

Any help would be great.

Explain to me what your going to do with this bare vinyl once you get it because I have extensive knowledge with vinyl considering I work with it every day unfortunately... are you going to hand cut it or do you have a plotter? There are bunch of great vinyls out there I use 3m, Oracal, Avery, Shinrite... I personally think 3m makes the best stuff hands down, cuts great, lasts long, applies easy, and looks great..... Go to Fellers.com order up a catalog start up an account and get your stuff through them.

Here is my bike...

I was going to get the stripes changed to red with stars by a professional but after finding out I have about $500 of work needed on my forks I decided to do the vinyl myself. My plan is to stencil out the stripes with large paper and then cut out the vinyl. Simple. I know it will not look as great as a pro job but it is really just more for fun and I still do not want to have to worry about dropping the bike and messing up a pricey job.

I MIGHT cut out black stars to put on the red but I have not decided yet.

Any advice from you would be great! I will definitely check out Fellers. Thanks!

Check out a local sign shop and see what they can do for you... vinyl is cheap and we did a bike not to long ago and i dont think we charged them too much also.

The owner brought in her freshly repainted all black 04 gixxer 600 we took pics and measurements and then replicated the stock graphics minus the logos and then it was cut on a Mimaki plotter weeded taped and applied... took about .5-hour to do.... but the results were really nice.

please excuse the crappy celly pics

Thanks! That bike looks great! If it was in red I would be all over that!

Maybe I will call some shops. The problem is that in this area we don't have too many business like that...but I am going to look into it now. Thanks again!

So the sign shop quoted me $600 if I take off the stripes and they put on new ones.

Plan...whatever letter I am on at this point - I think I am just going to take off the stripes and see what happens. Fingers crossed that it will look okay and the decals will not take off any paint.

Have you checked www.tapeworks.com ?

I ordered the white over red for my GSXR and the kits was great. They even send practice vinyl. I didn't like the red R and the red stripes. Here is before and after.

Thanks for the site! If all goes well and the current decals come off nicely I may get some of their red stars.
