New Exhaust on it's way(but I'm not happy)

Last winter I was planning on getting a Vance&Hines Full Exhaust system in Stainless Steel. Turns out 07 was the last year they made a full exhaust system for the F3. When I found out they no longer had it I searched everywhere with no luck. No company makes F3 Full Exhaust anymore. Not Yoshimira, D&D, V&H, no one. Well there was one company but it would have cost $1,800. V&H still has a slip on available but the carbs are set up for a full exhaust. And since this will probably be the only bike I'll own or be able to afford for the next 2-3years(Providing I don't total it out) I wasn't going to half ass it. Also my midrange sucks due to the stock headers(Headers is where your power comes from on Carbed bikes) and the new needles.

What I did find out last week was V&H had 5 Carbon Fiber full exhaust systems left. Unfortunately Carbon Fiber costs more but again I'll probably never own another bike so I wanted it exactly how I want it. So the full system will cost me $800. I did get the last Full Exhaust system.

Also Ebay, Craigslist, or other internet companies didn't have them(Internet companies just drop ship I found out).

Figures that woudl be my luck but it should be in on Friday. If not I'll hvae it next Tuesday(Providing it doesn't get lost in the mail which I bet will happen).

The Stainless Steel system which I was originally going to get was going to be $500. I ended up paying $800(With $50 off) with shipping and tax.

Basically I paid $300 more for bling. Because I don't see the CF can reducing much weight. Maybe a few lbs. And I'm not going to CF anything else on my bike so it's not like it will add up to something worth it.

When I do put it on I'll be using Red Loctite on the bolts so no one can just jack it. Hell the exhaust costs almost as much as my bike is worth.

Oh well can't wait to get it in. Once I get a timing advancer I'll get the bike on the dyno and see what it runs.

If the exhaust gets here this Friday from Cali(Shipped ground) then it will be on. Videos will be done and a tank camera mountain run in Suches,GA will be done also on Sunday(If it doesn't rain and the winds stay below 100mph)

But I think the CF(Real yo) should match my bike well. Don't you think???

For now I guess I could spray some silver paint on top of the black stock exhaust with that tool drawer liner you can get that makes it look like CF to get myself use to it.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. CF will look ok. I am not a big CF fan either, but have a little bit on my bike.

It's getting there. Next thing is some Pilot Powers 2CTs before I go for a 4day motorcycle get-a-way at Deal's Gap in early april. Right now I have Avon AV-45 front (120/70/17) and a Pilot Power Race on the rear (160/60/17). Which the race does not like cold roads at all and is a PITA to heat up. Except before I get my new rear it will be roasted off.

Then all that will really be needed is paint. I just can't pick out a design that I like because I have no artistic ability at all.

I got my exhaust in and on today. What a difference that Full makes over the stock. It's insane. It livens that bike right up. THe midrange is great(And will be better with an ignition advancer). I like the sound too. Which it sucks I had to pay $300 more for the Carbon Fiber due to V&H no longer making F3 exhaust. But totally worth it.
