VStrom seat...

I'm looking for a new seat for my 2008 VStrom. The stock seat seems really wide for me and hurts me after awhile. Anyone know of an aftermarket seat that is narrower? A little more "cush" would be a great bonus too.

I looked at the ones from Corbin and Sargeant...I'm not sure if they are actually narrower than the stock seat though.

Any ideas???

re: seat

What I did with the seat on my SV1000S was remove the cover, cut down the foam with an electric carving knife ( you'll need to take some off the top to keep it proportioned right). After you get it close to where you want it smooth the foam up by running it really gently on a wire brush. Then warm up the cover (I just held it in front of a wood stove for a few minutes) and reattach it with an air stapler. It's a simple project and if you didn't want to do it yourself a local upholstery shop could do it pretty reasonably. The up side to doing it yourself is you can keep trying it as you trim it. Good luck
