Hey, I doubt this is still an active question but a reply can't hurt. I just did some purple lighting on my bike and it looks awesome, I got 3 LED strip lights off Ebay and wired them in with the license plate light so they come on when needed (equivalent to accessories in a car). I also had an unused and conveniently located SAS (steering assistance system?) on/off switch next to the gauges that I hooked my (illegal I think?) lights up to. So 2 light strips on the insides of the fairings lighting up the frame and engine block through the hole in the fairing and one under the tail lighting up the tire. Total? The lights were about $7 CAD for 2 and another $6 for the other light. Wires came from some old speaker wire I had lying around and it took a couple hours to get them all secured and wired in. I would say DIY is the way to go. Hope you're still around to maybe get something from this reply. I have pictures too if this is still active.
