Seca II upgrades

Well, the funds just aren't there for me to trade up to the Sv650 or F4i I wanted this summer, so I'm looking for ways to bump up my beginner bike.
I've got a 93 Yamaha Seca II. The good news is that I laid it down and tore up the left can, so I can get some insurance money to replace the exhaust (MSRP for 1 (one) can is $400, I can get a Vance and Hines full exhaust for $340!)

Any other ideas? I might try to use the paint booth at my auto hobby shop to reinvent the color, but what about performance mods? Is there anything available to me?

Well, I'd prefer not having had one at all!

Yeah, I had an "I told you so moment." I'd have been P***ed if I'd bought that new FZ-6 I had been scouting during my MSF. At least I was able to get a better lloking helmet out of the deal (Arai Astral-X with the light blue electircal conduit look pattern.)

The first getoff was probably my fault. Newbie mistake, tried to swerve and forgot to lay off the front brake. It was frustrating, because on the way home, I tested my ability to quickstop at stop lights and I was able to stop in the space I needed.
