the end of my reign is near...

as this month draws to a close, i wanted to thank everyone for their comments on my bike being chosen as the first BOTM. before my photo is replaced on the front page with another well-deserving piece of machinery, i wanted to ask for any opinions as to what else i should add or modify on my bike. i am always open for suggestions. good luck to all that entered their rides and congrats in advance to next month's winner. it was an honor to be featured on the best sportbike forum in existence. thanks to all...

Put a link or another picture so we don't have to go back and forth.

Take the front yellow reflectors off and get different mirrors. The stock ones are about worthless (or so I'm told). If you like the tank bra, go for it, but it's not doing it for me. I like the color, so I wouldn't...

I'd get a custom exhaust hanger and take off the pegs. The pegs are pointless if you're gonna have a cowl on there. I also strongly agree w/ everything talisman said.

removing the rear pegs is definately something i would've overlooked. thanks for that. these are some good suggestions from you guys. i appreicate it.

(and yes, the stock mirrors do nothing for visibility)

i have thought about getting one of those little tank protector strips. do they protect adequately from zipper scratches? i do want some protection from that.

Tank pads? Yeah they do a great job. You just gotta place it right. It's not hard. Don't buy ones w/ nylon or cloth like material, they suck. I don't know what the good ones are made of but they work the best. I want to say my guess would be something along the lines of silicone or something. But they last a long time.

I picked up my hanger on ebay for like 25 bucks incuding shipping. It's powdercoated too.

Seeing your bike... I can see your mindset clearly!

I wouldn't say its dull... I like it! All the stickers on some sportbikes gets old after a bit...

the one thing i am sure i won't change about my bike is the color of it. so i'm sorry jeeps, but no pink this time around. and i'm not to keen on gaudy stickers either. sorry als-repsol, they do look good on your ride though. i do like the simplicity of the look of my bike. no splashy color schemes or wild graphics, just pure understated elegance. that i won't mess with. but i will be removing my bra (well, the bike's bra at least). ha ha. thanks for all the suggestions guys. you've given me lots to ponder over the cold weather months.

Don't blame that on me.
You could put a hot naked chick on it and send me the photos or better yet. Let me take the photos.
