Rumor has it... ZX14 1/4 runs...

...Ricky Gadson ran a 9.30 on a bone stock ZX14 yesterday and after they bolted on a 6" over swingarm and a pipe he ran an 8.35...still on a stock motor!

Larry

Rarely is the question stupid, but sometimes the answer is you need to run everything you read online through your own personal BS meter to determine if it makes sense to you.

Pretty impresive. That's the same guy who ran high 9's on a stock '05 R6 right? Didn't he just lower it and change the gearing a bit?

I guess this guy might know what he's doing, or just experimenting with new idea's and they work out.

Yep, same guy. He was running low 10's with a stock R6, then lowered it and changed the gearing by 1 tooth and got it down to 9.9x.

True, but from experience in squezzing as much out of a motor as possible, there is no equation that would work out to reach such times. Not even a Busa.

WOW That is impressive. But he seems to be able to get numbers out of bikes nobody else can.

Sorry guys...I did a little research and it seems he ran a 9.37 stock (possibly lowered a little) and more like a mid-8 with a 6" over swingarm, tire, pipe, and air shifter. I heard the rumor when my sales manager got a call from a buddy of his that was at the track watching it happen and then I found some more details on another forum.

Either way, this is very good news for Kawasaki and very bad news for Suzuki

It just gives Suzuki something to best with the new model. I'm just a Zuk fan at hart.
