R1 - the one

Hi all!
I'm Tamás Kálmánchey (too difficult for you) - just: Tommy (Tom = Tamás)

I live in Hungary (in Europe). I like R1. This is the best bike in the world. What do you think?

I live in "the land of Suzuki" (too much GSX-R ), but I don't like GSX-R (my uncle is GSX-R owner - **** - GSX-R750). I would like to talk about R1 (and others) with R1 owners.

I hope this is the begining of beautiful friendship! Get me?

Bye!

Definately a good choice. Way too many GSXR's out here too. The R1 is still my dream bike. But if YAMAHA comes out with the R7 again, I'm all over it.

A new R7 might sway me to the Yami!

F yeah. It'd sway a lot of people. But now that the 600's are getting more expensive, i'd hate to see the price of it...if it was a regular 750 and not one they had to produce so they could race it legally. Then it'd be 30K like the last one.

I saw a 675 in person a couple weeks ago. Man, those bikes are narrow!

What I love about them is the sound that 3 cyl produces. It is like a cross between an i4 and v twin and it just sounds mean.

I'm loving the 3 cyl. Also, the paint schemes are a little plain for my taste and the seat height is so damn high.

There are a few R1'ers around here... stick around and I am sure they will chime in!

A new gen R7 would be a bike to really consider.

I am still an R1 owner for about another day until the insurance company/salvage yard comes to pick it up tomorrow.

I'm still undecided on what bike to get next season......Still stuck between the R1, and Gixxer 1k.

The only thing I can say about the new R1 is that it is completely re-done. there may be flaws, but who knows. Besides, who am i to say that. I went and bought a new R6. But that's why we have warranties.

Yes, the R1 is a total loss....however I just worked out the deal today where I can buy the bike back from the insurance company as a "salvage vehicle" So I am going to buy the bike back and keep it as a stunt bike, and fix it up a little over the winter. The bike actually still rides just fine....a slight wobble in the front end...possible bent fork which I can get fixed. All the fairings are busted..but those can be replaced also.
