Lowerd 05 r6, i have questions

Ok so im looking at this 05 R6 that I want to buy, and I probly am going to buy. The thing is he instaled a lowering kit and I perfer it to be stock ride hight. What I need to know is what stock parts should he be giving me to return it back to stock. Also what dose removing the lowering kit intail?

if it was lowered with "dog bones" they just pull down on the suspensionso a simple removal will return the bike to the stock hight.

stock dog bones , raise the front forks back up.

yea he didnt mention to me how it was lowerd but ill ask him. WHat other way would there be to lower it? ALso what is the handeling difrence between a lowered bike and a stock hight bike?

lowered: it dont like to as well. dont come on you as easy.

as for another way to lower a bike ... dont knowof any other way

Chances are the rear was lowered by dog bones. Just see if he has the stocck ones still. They're fairly easy to install. you have to have all the pressure off the rear wheel though. And the top of the front fork tubes just need to be flushed with the top of the tripple trees.

And lowered bikes don't handle as good. The longer wheelbase makes them less flickable. Not what you want on a sportbike. Well, it'd handle OK if the front and rear are lowered the same amount, but you're sacraficing ground clearance. Raise it back to stock height. Go to an R6 forum to buy the stock dog bones if need be.
