Question about an '01 YZF 600

There's a 2001 model YZF 600R in the local classifieds for $3500. Not much other information in the ad - no miles given, just "Female owned" - as if that's supposed to mean something and "runs great!"

I've only been in the saddle since last August on some much less powerful bikes. It looks decent in the pictures. It would be my first serious bike if I decide to buy. Any thoughts?

I have owned a 95, a 96, and a 2002 YZF600R and they are great bikes. Suspension is good if a tad soft with good range of adjustment, engine has a usuable mid range torque with a good top end rush. The 97-2007 versions are great for 2 up or sport touring with good ergos and decent wind protection. Get yourself a slip on and a couple extra teeth on the rear sprocket and its off and away!
