Marko sorry I missed you today man. My buddy I rode up with needed to leave at 215 so we headed out kinda early.
I do gotta go with ITgirl on this one though. The show, while still being big, has next to nothing that interests me. The list goes on and on of the things this event needs to have.
Yeah- I was at the grandstand about 3, but there were too damn many people. Took me forever just to get to the stands because they had such a huge area roped off for the stunters and AMA Trials bikes.
I had more fun checking out people's rides than anything else! Mine looked to be the only 760R in the whole place
Except for the kawi demo that is. I even saw an older pank GSXR....but not it's owner. Also saw a yellow and black CBR600F4.
I did pick up a pair of Icon Barrier pants to ride in. What I thought was cotton fleece lining is actually polyester...Makes me a little leery of meltdown. Hopefully they're better than levis
Picked them up from Big Boyz Toys for $71- not bad with a list of $90. They also had good deals on Powers and 2CTs if they had your size.
I went to all 4? dealers/vendors with street gear. Every two steps I saw another stupid "leather and lace" (what a stunter shop called them) Harley shop
Wheelie machine was lame, but the side by side dyno was interesting- even though their numbers seemed whack. Saw a lot of $20 baseball caps- F that!
Overall, "meh" it was cool to see so many bikes in one place, especially the oddball Firebolt and turboed 83 Kawi. There were way too many Harleys and Busas- although the four-wheeled busa is the only one I'd care to ride.
Saw one dude about jump out of his skin when somebody remote-started the Hoss Fly- which I can't imagine doing anything but burning rubber.
