Okay... NtS award. Here it is.

So now that trip has posted the creation of the "NtS" award i figure you all may as well get the whole story... even though we are still missing a critical portion (the "ghost" race )

Well rae liked to pick on me from the beginning. once we all started getting acquainted it was basically me and her shooting back and forth at each other, friendly jesting if you may. eventually she brought up that she had t-shirts for us, horay. Yea. So i though. Cause everybody except me gets one for free.

She initially wanted me and drewp to catch lightning bugs, but i told her that was and i would not hunt down stupid bugs for a shirt, so we reverted to an earlier idea (which i volunteered for) which involved the river behind toppoco.

So she says "put the shirt on, get out there and get wet, and let us take some pics"... Sure. its like what, 10980 degrees there, and i had swimming trunks on (coincidence, i think not). the video tells the rest of THAT story.

So on saturday we all run the hill and as the fast four are waiting for the rest of the group to catch up we decide to coast race the rest of the gap (from the lookout). Its a tough match, but i eventually pull ahead and CLEARLY take the lead... whether or not i win is a technicality, you can be the judge once you see the video (trip, that means you. upload it).

After the race (which is another story in itself) i pull off expecting every body else to do the same so we can recap the thing. they dont, they just hit their starters and take off down the road. okay *******s, me and kevin (fpzx10) are left behind. so eventually we take off (well i take off, he does a little closer to the speed limit). I come upon an SUV and i see everybody else in front of it, assuming they passed this guy. So i get to a straight, which happens to be a double yellow, and pass the cop... yea. the cop. it was a cop..... a cop................................... i passed a ****ing cop on a double yellow. i never even looked at the damn vehicle. i was so focused on catching up w/ the front of the pack .

anyways i get a ticket for passing on a double yellow. im sure Fpzx10 will have more to comment on the subject as he was there as a witness and to take pics.

long story short, the NtS award pretty much goes to the craziest stunt on the annual TWF rally... whether it be funny or just plain stupid...

She says "I can tell"

Me: "so Im getting a ticket, huh"

Her: -Laughing- "yea, youre getting a ticket... they guys at the office will love this one"

Unmarked This thing had "Tennessee Hiighway Patrol" and 2 big square blue lights on the back of it. I was about 100 yards behind (I slowed when I saw the COP). And I kept watching NTS and thinking there's no way he's gonna... oh crap... he just passed the cop. Cue the blue lights

I gotta post this one up too... This doesn't look like an unmarked cop to me.

It's like when Rae reportedly said "car? what car? we passed a car?"

Except that you passed a COP Dummy.

wait till you guys ride the dragon, I was so focused on my line that I was apparently oblivious to everything else going on around me!! I was staring at that white line to the exclusion of all else, cuz if I messed up with my luck I'd have driven off a cliff!!

and apparently he REALLY wanted to catch up!

That's no excuse for him, we were already at the lake. It's straight and flat. He just wasn't paying attention.
