I went with the long ones. the shorties don't have the notch. they don't need them. I liked the long better because I use four fingers to clutch it.

Guess its the "between the knuckles" guards on my super sweet icon pursuit gloves that keeps me from clutching it at a stop with less than the whole hand.

I shift with one finger tho jst slip it in about an inch.

Thats all you really need anyway. Thats why I use 2 finger mcgillicutty...although after reading OTB's thread...I've begun to go clutchless.
