Yamaha YZF 600R

On a Yamaha YZF600R (mine is 1998), when the low-oil light comes up, about how much oil will bring the level to normal? the sight-glass isn't easy to see at the best of times, yesterday I had to try during a snowstorm.

The Yamaha YZF600R Thundercat has a claimed 100bhp in its cylinders, it provides all the power you need, so long as you have to rev it above 6000rpm. Budget is a big priority for me and these are generally cheaper than the CBR's/R6's. Passed my test back in 1988 so it wasn't my 1st big bike. I'm now an advanced rider with a fair bit of experience and ride a BMW R1200RT for work.
