It could be as new as an 04. I'm guessing its a Euro model with the 16.5 wheels too. There for I'm not sure when they discontinued the 998 over there.

Here's an '02 998R. Got the CF fender's but has Ohlins suspension. I imagine that's where the "R" comes in?

I'm looking at an '03 right now. it's yellow and still looks the same. it's a euro model too. Checking '04 right now...

Could be an '04 euro model too. So Jeeps was right. The US models from '03 higher don't look like that one though.

Wrong! That's gone. I thought it was miserable to ride unless at track speeds all the time.

One of the best bikes I have owned for the twisties. That's all the props you'll get from me on the 9 series. They have other great bike and comfy too. I'm a Monster owner for life.

They covered a Monster show or event where people judge the Monsters entered in the contest and the winner gets a brand new Monster. There were some pretty nice monsters in the comp and the '06 was beautiful. I believe it was on "Superbikes".

There was a Xerox Ducati at the auto show I went to last month. I think it one of only 50 imported to the US.
