|mafia715||im 20 yrs old and i know that the liter bikes are very appealing to young people who for the most part lack the experience to handle one. i have a R1 and i love the bike but i regret not getting a 600 or 750 to start, i jumped from a 1100 cruiser to my liter bike and the change was scary to say the least and i am very lucky to still be alive. it sounds like you have alot of experience in the dirt which is good but the power of a 1000 is too much for alot of experience riders to handle let alone a young person like you. from my personal experience i would suggest starting with a 600 because they are fast enough anyway and work up to the larger bikes if you feel the need too that way you have time to hone your skill on the street.|

|motofreak69||Wow this Forum is old hahahah anyhow Dude i have a ZX10 and all i can say is good luck stuntin it if your not experienced i had it for 3 months most of the boyz i ride with stunt ya i can ride wheelies on it but with out killing ur self goodluck they have so much power they just want to pick up speed soon as u pull it up.... even if u drop down to 8lbs in the back tire and hit balance point and try to ride the brake its still pullin. on top of that ull try to do Power-wheelies super simple on a zx10 just snap the throttle 1st thru 4th and it will pull right up and then ur going to flip your self over and say good buy to that 10gran bike. i regret buying my zx10 ya its fun but i shoulda bout another 750 or 600... they can take turns harder faster there just all around fun the only good thing for 1000's is there great for runin from pigz.... insurance sucks ballz on them i have a clean Record and i have liability on it and its 154 a month...... get a 600 cheaper on insurance and learn to clutch em up and not power wheelie and hurt ur self. not saying i hate my bike i love the zx10 i just wish i bought a 600 for what i do with it.....|

and you don't need a 750 to stunt....600's work fine. it's not a power issue. when a bike is balanced the power isn't holding it up.....so really there isn't any more power involved other than getting it up there and it just takes a little skill to do that. you can blame it on gearing, but i know that's not the case because i do the same stuff on my completely stock 636 that i do on my f4i stuntbike.

Just to give my on this.
Buy something USED! This bike will get smashed up and skratched all to hell. I have a listing of stuff that you will need once you buy the bike. If you want me to, I can PM you the list, since it is quite long...or if people want me to put it up here, I can do that too.
Just lemme know!
And as for bikes, I will have to go with the Yamaha r6. It has worked GREAT for me!

insurance depends on your company. i've had no less than 2 bikes in my garage since age 18 and i've put full coverage on them both. right now i pay 748 a year full on my 05 636 and 189 a year full on my f4i. i'm only 24 still.....next year will be even better!
oh ya, it's indiana state farm insurance.

|ScottSellersUNR||it will be minimal coverage.... im 23 and still cant afford full coverage on my bike, not paying $1,000+ a year for it at 23. i figure after 25 i'll see, then depending if i get a new bike or have a 6 year old bike, then why bother paying for full.|
