A 2006 production model BMW K1200S has set a world land speed record in the 1000 - 1350 cc stock, partially streamlined, naturally aspirated motorcycle class at Utah's famed Bonneville Salt Flats. The motorcycle, piloted by 56-year-old Andy Sills, of San Francisco, CA, reached an average speed of 173.57 mph and top speed of 176.789 mph after two runs on the vast, white plains

Thats the record, and technically is that even true?!?!? A busa is 1300cc stock partially streamlined and NA can run 180 or more, right?

Gas Man I thought it was but I thought I was just wrong... I can't keep the Beamers letters / numbers straight... I know my co-worker keeps telling me what they mean but I can't remember...

Shows what I know. I have hardly looked twice at the Bimers. I do know that the Busa & ZX12 are considered Sport Tourers.

I think its a gentlemen's rule. We/they don't want the man to start regulating it.
