given what little I know about the classic comic, I thought the movie was really good.
How old is your son?

BikeMaster I think Spiderman II was better, the movie was okay but, loads of action and i like black spidey!

Hell the only time spidey and venom fight is in the big tag team battle royal at the end. They don't even fight one on one, even spidey has a partner in the battle. LAME!!!

wkyser they should have ended it as a cliff hanger and did the forth about Spiderman & Venom.

NONE_too_SOFT Heres my problem. I'm a huge fan of the character spider man, peter parker, whatever. Not of the comic book, not of the original movie, not of the tv show.

I appreciate seeing movies with a character and theme i enjoy, and whether or not they follow the original comic or story line makes no difference to me.

I am a huge spidey comic book fan, I have been let down since #1 with the story. I liked 1 the best, 2 wasn't bad, 3 is a huge drop.

From what I understand it would make the movie better...

This movie is about 75% cheese. Remember that scene in the middle Spiderman 2 where that rain drops keep fallin on my head song plays that you would like to forget but can't, well this movie is a ton of that. Too many villians, too many plots, and not enough story devoted to each one and what's there of the story is lame. Graphics were good, but that was about it. I luckily didn't pay or wait in line or have to put up with crowds. I had a screening for an audience of 2 and can have an audience of 1 anytime I like.
Yeah, I figured that would be the case....

I think the Batmans have been awesome... Well, the first two and now Batman Begins... It sucks that they are doing another Batman with the Joker as a foe... I am sure Heath Ledger will do ok, but Jack Nicholson WAS The Joker.

The best comic book remake that I have seen is the original Superman. The new one sucked azz... I dunno why they didn't use ol' dude from Smallville rather than a cardboard Chris Reeves wannabe... I think they should have gone with a the death of Superman thing, only with Doomsday instead of the cheese mccheesier crap...
