brie Well, it sounds like your battery is on it's last leg. Try charging it and seeing how it does. As far as the bike dieing goes, that is not caused by a dead battery. I'm pretty positive it doesn't work that way.

How did it die? Any lights come on, if you have any? Any odd noises when you got it running again? Will it idle at all right now without dieing? Any sputtering?

A loose connection could be the cause, or your bike might need a tune up or a carb rebuild. It really depends on what else is happening.

Gas Man What is the sitting voltage of the bike? Should be 12.8 or so.

And also check the connections.

Get back to us.

Or possibly the rectifier may be done or dieing.

Bike went DEAD

I was riding OK yesterday, and I had to pull over to make a phone call. I was sitting there in N with my bike idiling, but when I put it in gear to take off the bike went dead. When I tried to start it the battery seem tobe drained. A Bro of mine was near came a gave me a jump, but when I got to the next light it went dead again. He happen tobe following ,and gave me another jump. Did OK on the way home, but was just wondering what it could have been.
