TIGGER You know,I don't think I like any of the new models...I mean did you see the new CBR1000RR? It's like they all get together and have a meeting...Ok this year WE'RE having the stubby exhaust and you take the undertail, that leaves the huge standard exhaust for you other guys. In a few years we'll switch,ok? It really cracks me up because when they have a particular type of exhaust they talk it up like it's the only way to go and then "poof" they're using some other type and claiming it's the best. Who wants to bet that Suzuki goes for an undertail or stubby exhaust on the '09 GSXR1000?

jalaan1 even with the ugly can, i like it.
can't wait to see a head on view, to get a good look
at the headlights.

i'm glad they're getting away from the cyclopse(sp) look.

Shags71 I like the yellow one. Not a huge fan of that huge can tho.. I'll stick wit my '07 gixxer.

Or they'll wait a year, see how much everyone loves it, then bring it to the US. Same as they did with the 650R and Versys. Though I don't like the Versys at all...

it is a hottie though When do you think Suzuki is going to bring out a hot little 250? If the Kawi comes through, the market for them should explode!

According to the Suzuki rep(who is biased) Suzuki is planning to dominate all classes this year in performance. Plus,it's been long rumered that they have been working on a new 600cc package and letting the existing engine go pretty much untouched, spending all of their R&D on that. I just wish I knew how you guys can tell how a bike is going to sound and perform by looking at a pic . BTW they dropped the mid muffler and went back to a traditional set-up,I think. They were probably having probs conforming to the new epa regs and boosting power at the same time. If you check out Kawasaki, they have also dropped the underseat mufflers and gone back to an old school exhaust set-up,most likely for the same reasons. Slight subject change...did you see the new Ninja 250? Now that's what a beginner bike should look like!
When did they stop?

impala balko I like the look of the bike but the exhaust can has to go... This gixxer like all the new ones has an ugly but with the intergrated blinkers and what not it just looks odd. IMHO

The K7's have an extremely heavy exhaust. Put a Two Brothers slip-on to replace that stock dual can set up and you'll see a difference in performance not just how the bike will sound- due to the pounds shaved off. I definitely think the older gsxr headlight style is better.

Carolina It looks good to me except for the can which 80 percent of riders will change anyway
09-17-2007 09:50 PM
papapoi Friend of mine put an arrow system on there gxsr's then i picked up the stock exhaust and was like HOLY cow thats heavy LOL. that shorty stock pipe was heavier then my Stock pipe on my SV.

djhaythe The bike looks decent. I cant find a stock bike that I dont want to rip the can off anyhow. I am a Gixxer fan (with good reason too) and can only hope that it performs as the gixxer is known to do. I'm not sure about the lights either, so hopefuuly if this is the real deal they will tweek some things cosmetically.

Eh, you don't buy a slip on for gain, it won't give you anything worth having. You buy it for prettiness and sound quality.

To make a difference you need to put a full with PC3, otherwise you are just playing mind games with yourself.
