joostertag | a trip to the junkyard will probably fix the problem. riding season is pretty much over for the next couple months so no hurry |

might be somethin that you never run into but welding makes metal brittle, does every time, brittle metal cracks and or shatters. I dont want wheels that could shatter. . . ![]() |

i wouldn't worry too much about a repaired wheel. if carbon fiber wheels can handle track duties, a repaired metal/aluminum wheel should be able to handle street duties. the only weakness i can foresee is a fracture when running over another 2x4 at the same spot on the wheel. -a|ex |

GearGrabinGuy | I bet they are just as stong. And there nothing wrong with welding on the wheels. If everything is done right there is no worries. It looks like darn good work to me. |

joostertag | i guess it would be quite a bit cheaper to rebend them but wouldnt the rim be weaker from it |

jnn7404 | Yeah they wont fit. The axle diameter is different or something of that nature. I can't remember why but I wanted to do the same thing and was told by 3 different mechanics there not compatible. |
