Need4Speed why dont u just do it that way for all of em before you crash, that way, when you do, everything will already match ?

got to look at the bike today in the "light" and the plastics weren't even touched - only scraped up the foot peg and the handlebar grip on the left side!
looks like i can keep riding that one after all!
i'm going to start a new trend with pocketbikes and start painting my bikes like this after every crash!

GSXR1000DJ That sounds like a great idea. I normally only wear my ear plugs when I go to the shotting range to fire off a few round of my M-16 I got from the army. hehehe J/K I had to give that back. I might have to give that a try and see how well they work.

ShanMan14 Huge difference. They actually filter a lot of the noises you don't want to hear while allowing you the noises you do want.

I actually use them at concerts too, it's nice hearing the concert and not have my ears ring.

Need4Speed speaking of plugs, I just recently tried riding with them on a regular basis, and I thought it would compromise my hearing of other vehicles coming up behind me, etc...but nope, not at all...and when I ride w/ out them, u can tell so much difference, never realized just how noisy air is anyways.

True, even if you drop it you should consider replacing it. The helmet is made primarily of styrene and it's made to crack throughout the helmet when you wreck, to disperse the energy.

I also have a Signet. It's a 5 year old model and very noisy on the Honda. How's the noise level on yours? I'm assuming it's a more current model.

Other then the noise I love the Arai!
It's loud, but that's fine, I'd rather it be loud and ventilated than the other way around. If I go on long rides I wear ear plugs, which most people do anyway.

pintsizemoto if you are referring to ME, the bike hardly looks like it has a scratch - i did grind the footpeg down a bit, but tey are cheap enough to replace - i haven't looked at the bike in daylight yet but since i have so many pocket bikes, if it's that bad, i can always switch bikes!

I have a KBC TK-8 Excalibur that I like alot. It has nice air flow and keeps my cool inside.

I've always enjoyed the relative quietness of the Shoei, but it sacrifices ventilation for the quietness. Arai, on the other hand, seems to do the opposite.

So... What's your preference?
i crash tested MY helmet last night on my pocket bike! ate shat going into a hairpin corner and think i would have lost a few teeth and have a dislocated jaw as well as a concussion had i not been wearing one!

anyway, the EXACT helmet i had (and crash tested) is here

it's no name brand, but for $55 shipped, you can hardly go wrong!

No Worries I go to the motorcycle show each winter and they have every helmet on display. For my long head, the Shoei models fit best. I got the TZ-1 at a very nice price. Could have had a Hot Wheels logo for even cheaper, But I'm too old for it.

ShanMan14 No, I still want that model, just not that color combo.

Icon has some specifics about advertising their products. Dealers are allowed to sell for less than MSRP, but they are not allowed to advertise it. If you can't find a better price, I can get it to you for 10% over dealer cost plus shipping. I have a friend who is a dealer. I just bought an Icon Burner jacket from him for $305. Retail is $450.
