UUUMMM 5000 miles? That's when you did the break in service? That should be done near 600 to 1000 some people even say 300.
But hey you bought a GSXR so I cant rag you to hard. Put some Amsoil in it and change the oil once a year like me.I have a fleet of GSXRs and thats what I do. Now taking care of you GSXR is simple. Check your chain every 1000 miles. If it looks dry get some spray on lithium grease. DONT YOU CHAIN WAX OR CHAIN ANYTHING. Trust me, Your bike has a kick-ass chain that does not need chain wax, you just need somthing to keep it rusting the outer links. And lithium grease is way better do to breakdown numbers compared to Chain wax. make sure you wipe the extra off.
