Ok, I totalled my bike this fall but i rebuilt the whole thing except for a few key things. It ran the day I started to take it apart( just swapped frames, front suspension and plastics pretty much) Right now I cant get it to start. Its not getting power to the starter, or handlebars right now or something. It is making the sound it should when you put the key in and everything sets up, but when i push to start it, absolutely nothing happens. Can someone show me by taking a picture of their wiring harness under the seat, or does anyone know where exactly the plugs for the starter are and run? thanks for any help.

Thanks, Im looking for a pic of the wiring harness, right behind the battery. I need to know where a plug goes, but it doesnt connect to a resistor and the one im looking for has a big yellow wire going into a connector tube.

lol this is gonna sound stupid but is just hangs there. there is nothing connected to it. i never messed with anything in there and mine is like that i will take a pic if you want. im gonna check the manual out and try and see what its for.

AFTER further looking into the manual, i think it is a Self Diagnostics connection. its just and open ended connection. does not need to be hooked up.

Got the manual cd, and now its almost turning over, its just not quite starting yet. Is there a starter spray for bikes that you can put into the intake and it usually helps? Ive done it to cars but i dont want to risk anything..

if its been a long time since its started did u charge the battery first...normally if it "almost starts" the battery needs more juice to turn the starter at full power.... like has already been said.. Start simple. My friends triumph was "almost starting" after nto beign ridden forever and he was all worried.. i came out with a charger and ten minutes later we went for a ride.

yup i second the check the battery charge before using any type of spray. that ether spray or whatever it is works good if thats the problem but i would not use it for this. theses bikes are to new to need any spray to get them started(it can also screw ur shat up if you use too much). also check to make sure there is spark casue you did have to rewire the bike, right.

It is trying to start. In other words its turning over just not catching and running. I didnt need to rewire the bike either, The wiring harness remained intact i just thought something was missing that fell off or something when the yellow wire wasnt attached, since i did have to unplug everything( that problem before is now resolved, everything is connected properly and im getting power everywhere!) Anyway, I charged the battery all day today and still it just doesnt quiet start. Anymore sudgestions? The picture attached is how the bike looks currently with the old broken plastics on(Just wanted to see it together again even tho the new plastics havent arrived yet!!!)
