Apparently 06 R6 plastics are too expensive to replace so he took 'em all off.

that's what I would of done! Either that, or some how try to make some old racing plastics fit. You could fool around till you could get um on. I put some old F1 racing plastics on my F3 (just to see if I could).. looked kinna funky, but it worked.

The truth is that there probably isn't any plastics made for the '06 yet. How do companies make aftermarket plastic? They find someone with the bike and get them to let them borrow the plastics to make a mold...then they can create their aftermarket bodywork. The '06 is still fairly new, so nobody may have them out yet, and if someone does, it's probably just the bigger companies (like Sharkskinz).

Factory body is almost as cheap as the race stuff for the Yamaha's.:crazy:

Gotta disagree with ya on that one. The upper cowl alone on mine is $320 from the dealer.
