Why not
My 2000 gsxr is 142 hp stock at the crank. Before I bought it it had a full yosh exhaust, high flow filters, pc II or III and it dynoed out at about 143 at the wheel. When I got it, the exhaust was back to stock and I took off the PC for now.

Heres the deal my bike has been dyno at 132hp with yosh racing pipe pc and high flow filter. The bike screams now I just want more grunt down low. I have found engine kits for $1500-$1700 would bump dis to 817cc. Would this get me close?? I dont want to spend but around $2000 because I Plan on a new gsx-r 1000 next year. thanks for your reply

First off... if you are going to get a new bike next year... DO NOT WASTE YOUR $$$$$

Monster... it has been discussed many times here... It is getting harder and harder to yank more power out of these bikes.

Twisty!!, chime in here.... you have this bike!!!

Yeah you could do it for 2000. You wouldnt need and engine kit. Degreed cams, nice map, thinner head gasket, V-stack,radius valve job, milled head. You would be close. But for what reason tho? Use the 2000 for down payment on a new bike that will blow the doors off the 750. Putting an engine in will effect driveablity. Just a waste.

Ok guys Im 28 been riding 15 years I know my way around a bike. This will be a track bike and maybe see a dragstrip or two. twisty I think it would hard to use 100% of a 750s handling if the bike is setup right but the engine and rider not so sure. By years end this bikes will be all carbon fiber
I want more power to go along with new look.
Plus I would spend the money on the 750 before the 1000. The new gixxer would not be a track bike $400 slip on for a good sound and maybe some good sport tires thats it. Hard to make the new gixxer 1000 better anyways later guys

A decent pipe instead of the Yosh would help a bit. Cams, deck the head, do the head work and you're on the dance floor for the HP you want. $2k is going to be tight unless you're doing the labor yourself (or know someone competent willing to work cheap). The machine work on the head is the expensive part.
