I have a 2004 bmw r1150r I picked up this January with only 8010 miles. After purchasing new tank, fuel pump, filter, injectors and plugs, front shock I've put 2500 glorious miles on it. Now it has problem maintaining a battery long enough to drive 60 miles. Had battery tested today and it holds a charge at least 12+V. I think the Stator(alternator) is not doing its job so before I dig in and replace the whole thing, I need to know if the stator is internal or external regen. Anyone out here know this?
