Yes we will be. Good thing it is only one over night so no need to carry alot of stuff. :dthumb:
its so sad not seeing loudon (NHIS) on the scheldule..loudon was one of the nations oldest motorcycle races and now because of an unsafe track and a pissing contest between ama and the owners they pulled out...

i agreed with the pro riders when they refused to race in the rain after a few hard crashes and injuries....and im kind of upset that the privateers didnt follow suit and not race but thats their desicion...

I blame Bahre (the owner of nhis) for this...when the new loudon track was made , all he cared about was the 1 mile oval and bringing nascar to new hampshire...he had the oppertunity at the time to make a great road course , he has the property available to make a nice 2.5 to 3.5 road course and could have had cart/indy cars running on the road course instead of the oval..which they done even run anymore....hell even a F1 car track wouldnt have been out of the question, but all he cares about is nascar...so blame mr. bahre for no superbike racing at loudon..not the ama or the riders..

the track is unsafe in my opinion, especially for superbikes...from day one the surface had problems with traction and breaking up on the ovals and the infield...when that track is wet its nasty, and there are areas with trees with padding around them... ...I raced the first race weekend there on the bikes and was ambulanced out in practice for the first national on the new track...all day i could feel the front washing, as others did too, and sure enough i highsided and took the ambulance ride...just too bad, could have been a great road course...

I think SpeedWerks is going to run a bike at a couple of AMA events this year. Probably VIR, Mid-Ohio, and a couple of others. I'll let you guys know when it's finalized so you can come by and say hi to us! :)

And I agree, Loudon is a horrible track. We tried it last year and it is completely and totally unsafe. It's an awesome layout, especially the bowl, but they definitely could have invested some money to make it safer. It made me cringe watching the litre bikes go around that track.

dont know if you ever got to ride or see the old loudon track but it was a nice 1.6 tight 10 turn track, it was safe and flowed nicely.... its just too bad, time and thought wasnt given to the new road course
Hey Shan!!! are you going to host a TWF event in April?? B'ham is only 100 miles from you! I could try to make it there. I know WOS has a member trying to start a Southern Chapter that lives in So. Alabama. I come through Troy and Montgomery, could pick him up. ARE YOU READY FOR SOME RACIN'???

Never did see the old track. I loved the layout of the new one, but with no airfence, that place was just a little too dangerous for our liking. Although, our rider Brian Kcraget did break the 125 lap record there. :)

ya i never even liked the layout of the new track, both infield sections are goofy and the rest is just kind of thrown together with no real flow to it.....

very nice on the 125 record, did some reading on your site and about the riders....got some good riders there..
I'm gonna be at either Mid-Ohio or Road America, haven't made up my mind totally yet. Most likely Ohio.

I thought VIR got the axe? Or is this the last year for it?

Thanks for stopping by our site! Very cool! :dthumb:

We're very proud of our riders...the past two years we've had over 25 of our riders snag regional championships! We build some great bikes and have some great riders aboard them. Hopefully one day I'll be on that list. ;)

We're also very proud of our online store, too. We're trying to branch out from just being pegged as a performance shop. A lot of our customers are street riders. We used to do just do performance work, but we've really branched out into all other sorts of stuff. We are really competitive with pricing, and the best part about SpeedWerks is that we're not just a warehouse selling stuff. Everyone who works there actively races and we can tell a customer what works/what doesn't work. It's a real value add over some of the other online stores. That's why we decided to sponsor TWF. We know a lot of street riders could really benefit from our knowledge, and we're really down to earth people that want to help better the sport of motorcycling. :dthumb:
