I like the old camaros, but that just doesn't look right. Plus, if they go that retro, it will look like they're copying Ford and the Mustang (which I like the looks of, but it's WEAK on power).

U know I absolutely dig camaro's in the biggest way. Geez I miss mine all of the sudden again. This looks sweet as hell, but captains' right, I think it would look like they are copying ford's idea way to much.

but just on style alone, I think its sweet!!

:withstupi :withstupi It does look way to close to the new Mustangs in the front end and side. The rear is all Chevy but everything else looks Ford. :bash:

This concept came out at the same time as the Mustang concept did. . I've heard different stories, but they may just call it the SS I think.

Either way, I like it.

The new mustangs are cool, but they need to get the s/c Cobra back.

I can't blame Chevy for coming with this model. The Mustangs are selling like crazy. Question is, can Chevy keep their price down like Ford did because you can get a loaded Mustang for around 25k. Not bad. I've had the opportunity because of what I do to drive a ton of the new Mustangs. You get a lot for your money and I have to say I'm pretty impressed............NOW, can Chevy come with something comparible or better?? I hope so because I'm a huge Camaro fan.

I would imagine they would have to keep the price pretty comparable to the stang..otherwise they won't sell anywhere near to their potential.

Im gonna see what else I can come up with on this beast..but why are they waiting till 2007 to roll it out?

maybe the V6, the the GT sticker is 28 or 29, and that's not even fully loaded. If I were to buy a mustang, it would have to be, at minimum, the GT. But to be honest, they're just too damn weak for my taste. My '79 vette has as much power as the new GT, so why bother? That's my opinion, anyway.

Interesting how this retro styling coming back into popularity is taking off so well. Why didnt they think of this sooner :skep:

VW bug, mustang, camaro...yeah, they're sweet for sure!

Chevy had better get this right. When you kill a loved model like the camaro, any rebirth better mend any hurt feelings (like mine!) RWD, V8, long hood, short deck, affordable, and NOT TOO RETRO! The new Impala and Malibu doesnt make me confident.

I dig that car.... its more retro then the Stang... cover the rest of the mustang with a book and look at a side veiw of the mustang onlky seeing the part behind the rear wheel.. If you show someone that pic, they'll say " thats a Honda Accord"
It really does look like it.
But yeah i htink Chevy needs to either make it a very good deal to fight with the mustang for marketshare... it BLOW mustangs away with 450HP or more.

Chevy has always had something comparable to the Mustang, they called it the Cavalier. In my opinion the Camaro was always way better then the Mustang since day one. Not only in performance, but quality and overall. Ford's been making those ponies for decades and they still can't get the rear decklid to line up properly. Granted the New "old" Mustang is pretty sweet as is the New "old" GT40. But let's face it, they are selling like hot cakes because now Chevy/Pontiac doesn't offer competing vehicles where the F-Car used to reside.

If Chevy and Firebird are reborn, let's hope it's not like the the photo that started this thread. YIKES!!! That thing is hideous!! It's nice to know the Moron who designed the Pontiac AssCrack is still cutting clay for the Chevy division. Once you get beyond the Ugly Factor, it looks way to much like the new/old Mustang. At least in Fords case they resemble a 60's Eleanor car, whereas that thing looks nothing like a camaro I have seen or want to see.
