It's been about three weeks since I got the new M1 put on and this morning I was checking my tires before I was off to work and I saw this blue thing on my tire. I thought it was a piece of gum or something so I tried to kick it off and it didn't move. I was pissed when I realized it wasn't gum but something else puncturing my tire. I'm glad I bought the extended warranty so it'll be replaced for free but three weeks is not a long amount of time to pass between flats. I'll have the new one on today, just in time for the long weekend. I hate flats!

Yeah it covers whatever tires you have on it for three years. you can also upgrade but you have to pay the difference if it's more. Not a bad deal. So i could pop both tires and get pilots and just pay the difference. proly less than 100 bucks. Damn, i should do that.
do they cover tread wear? Like not normal tire wear, or will they just give you BS and tell you that wheelies and burnouts are causing the wear.
I didn't think I got that many miles out of my rear 2 tires ago, and the MC tech said its from burnouts, and I said look F Face, I don't do burn outs, and he said yes you do, that is burnout wear, then he said look I'll show you, he looks up under my under tail to look for rubber, and then he said Oh well umm you don't have any rubber up there. Then he said well I know you do wheelies I see you all the time. So I didn't win the battle.

I'm pretty sure they won't cover that. Just flats and what not. I'd just put a nail in it and tell them you want a new one. There has to be a little tread left though. My dealer is cool believe it or not. Well, my service guy lenny anyway. He's always at the drag strip and bike night. i always end up drinkin w/ him.

Did you get your tire @ CycleGear? I do not know of any other places that offers such policy.
I'm still not sure what was in it. It was some blue thing. I couldn't do a burnout because I noticed it before work and then when I went to bring it to the shop it was pretty much flat. The shop let me take their ramp home so i could put it in the truck. I got the new one on now.Gas Man said:
I changed out the Dunlops for metzeler M1's. I'll have to look at the copy I signed to get more details for you guys. You know what, i'm pretty sure it comes with the one year factory warranty and since i got the extended one I'm covered for longer. I'm thinking it'a just that dealership thing though. Maybe i'll call 'em.
