So if you are planning on riding with your favorite buddies or club and the weather is looking kinda so so... You hop online and check it out...

It doesn't show anything real troublesome on the radar but they are calling for a 50% chance of rain. It looks ok outside but kinda overcasted looking... ya know... not clear and sunny.

And lets say its a 30 min ride down the highway to meet up and the ride is going to be a hour or two riding... then back. So either way you'll be outside the entire time your gone.

Do you ride?

I've left out to ride when there was a 50/50 chance of raining. The idea was that we would stay ahead of the approaching storm. Unfortunately, the downpour became increasingly heavy before we (my cousin and I) were able to meet-up with the rest of the group. We turned around to ride back through the storm to return home.

Riding in the rain is no big deal for me although I don't enjoy it.

Today is the first time it's rained in a month. But it's monsoon season now so it could rain at any time. If you go riding in the mountains, you want to go in the morning as you can get rain, lightning, and hail in the afternoons. The rain ain't so bad, it's the sand and silt that are washed down in the corners.

I avoid the highways anyway, but especially in the rain because of splashback. I don't like riding blind for several seconds. And on the streets I watch out for manhole covers and the vinyl strips at crosswalks. But I don't let the weather dictate when I ride. I used to ride in snow until I hit an ice patch and went down. I actually rode more last winter than I have this summer.

I usually wont head out if its already pouring outside, but If i get caught in it while im out I don't mind too much.
I pretty much feel the same way, I would prolly seek cover if it got bad. I would try to avoid "riding" in it.

If it's already pouring down rain I don't go out on the bike...One exception...If I'm at the GAP!!

There was a 100% chance tonight and we rode anyway. We were soaked and covered in mud when we got home - but we still enjoyed the ride
 Covered in mud??? Were you on road or off road, dirt bikes or what?
