So to my understanding the SE is the normal R1 and the LE is the limited R1 with the extra perks.

Well I sat on 2 of the 50th Anniversary R1's yesterday at the Cycle World show... I will post pics once I get them uploaded to the gallery!

speaking of... i submitted some from the Houston show a month ago and they never showed. Am i that ugly they werent approved....

They do exist. I have one.

The plain YZF-R1 in 50th anniversary colors does exist. Mine is 226 miles new.
So far I have only been able to find 3 things different for your 8k dollars on the LE. It has stock wheels (black with yellow pin stripe, not gold), stock suspension front and rear, and no lap timer using the starter button. It does have the slipper clutch and the longer swingarm. This color scheme made me get back on motorcycles after 12 years of thinking that I had them out of my system. As soon as I get a nice day here I will take pictures and post them. You really need to see the pearl flake in the yellow when it is in the sun.
