Saw a beautiful 600 RF for sale. What's the difference between these two bikes? I know Suzuki stopped making the great 900 RF, but does the 600 Katana continue on the 600 RF?

The Kat is a bit heavier overall..but one of the problems with the RF's, was that they were trying to break into an already established market that the Kat was owning, in terms of suzuki at least.

The RF was an attempt by Suzuki to have a more modern tech, better handling, more powerful sport tourer than the Kat... They were more expensive than the Kat, but you get what you pay for. The model name was literally a hybrid of GSX-R and GSX-F. Hense, RF. Meaning it was designed to be positioned between the R and F models. It is definitely a step up from a Katana.

The RF-900 was to go head to head against the VFR. It actually outsold the VFR its last year of production, but the model was dropped anyway...

The RF900RR was my first street bike and I loved that thing. It handled great for me and had some awsome speed under her. I wish they would have never stoped making them. I'm sure if I could find one in good condition I would get another. :dthumb:

Both feeble attempts to reach the level of excellence that Yamaha has acheived.. Buy a Yamaha and 4-get about it...
