After riding for bout an hr what is the temp reading on a 99 GSXR 750 usually at? While riding my reads btw 170 to 190 F and then when i am sitting still or in 2nd or first gear with high RPM's it reads bout 215 to 220 F.
Does this sound right.:scratch:

My bike will get up to around 217-218 in the middle of summr in Vegas if I'm sitting still but when I'm moving good it'll go down to about 180-185. You gotta be riding 1st or 2nd at high RPM's for a minute to get it that hot. Try changing your fluid, or looking into alternate cooling liquidslike Engine Ice or something.

Yeah I think its a bit high. I would suggest a coolant change to Engine Ice. Don't do any other looking..just buy 2 half gallons of engine ice and change it! It WILL run cooler! You'll thank us later!

ok how do i flush the coolant thats in it now and put the new in? Sorry i am new at all this

I just use to pull the hose off the bottom of the rad. Flush it with distilled water to running temp like 3 times and then fill it up with the engine ice.
